I have received three marriage invitations recently from people I dont know very well .. People some of whom I haven't met or even spoken to. I was asking a friend of mine why would people who dont know me send personal invitations to their wedding ?? Is it that they felt that I was a close friend? His answer was well .. you know now a days people dont have much friends and the ones they have are no longer in the same city or same country ! So people just try to round up as much "friends" they can !!
Sound pretty stupid ! why would anyone want to do that ?? Guess we are all humans and would like to show people around us that we'r popular and very sociable.
I'm making my wedding invitation list...

Ur Right.....nowadays people are celebrating the functions in a big style....When there are no more people the functio doesnt look grand..so they are inviting evryone....
